HUNTER DOUGLAS NAMED WINDOW COVERING BRAND OF THE YEAR

Quality, familiarity and purchase consideration. These are the key factors that go into ranking companies on consumer brand equity in the Harris Poll EquiTrend® study. Not surprisingly, Hunter Douglas was named 2013 Harris Poll EquiTrend Window Covering Brand of the Year in the highly regarded study. Hunter Douglas scored exceptionally well in the Quality ratings among other measurements. To provide an understanding of a brand’s overall strength, the EquiTrend study surveyed 38,814 U.S. consumers who assessed the brands in over 155 categories. Conducted by Harris Interactive, one of the world’s top market research firms, the EquiTrend model was recognized as a proven predictor of stock performance during the 2008 financial downturn, and thus has been validated as a new tool to evaluate a company’s performance.

HUNTER DOUGLAS TOPS INDUSTRY PRODUCT AWARDS

The Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) Product Awards are the benchmark of excellence in the industry, and Hunter Douglas has captured more awards than any other manufacturer. 
For the 17th consecutive year, the company has won more awards than any other manufacturer – an outstanding 27 out of the 50 conferred this year. In addition, Hunter Douglas captured the coveted Product of the Year for the 12th year as well as the prestigious Judges’ Award reserved for a submission selected by the panel that exhibits measurablebenefit or standout aesthetic appeal to end-users.

HUNTER DOUGLAS DONATES $425,000 TO HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF & RECOVERY
December 20, 2012
Hunter Douglas, the leading manufacturer and marketer of custom window fashions in North America, announced that it has donated a total of $425,000 to two nonprofits – The New York Times Neediest Cases Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort and Team Rubicon – to help relieve the suffering and aid the recovery of those most in need following Hurricane Sandy.   Hunter Douglas made an initial donation of $100,000 and, in addition, matched donations from its employees and independent fabricators on a dollar for dollar basis. In just over two weeks, the Company received $162,500 in contributions to its Hunter Douglas Hurricane Sandy Relief and Recovery Fund.
