"Direct Connect, where do we start.
Direct Connect has been an immense help to all of us at
Night & Day Blinds. Orders are so much easier to place
on Direct Connect. we no longer have a file drawer full
of many different order forms for various types of window
coverings. Most of the forms were out of date and incomplete.
Direct Connect is reliably up to date on all product specifications.
If we can't order it on Direct Connect than we probably
shouldn't sell it. When placing an order occasionally an
option will be listed that we forgot to write down at the
customers home. That reminder can prevent costly delays,
unnecessary trips and reorders.
Once we place an order we really
appreciate being able to refer to the Fab Order Status
page to see
how our orders
are processing. It's also a great quick reference tool
to make sure orders were placed. The estimated shipping
dates
help forecast installation scheduling.
We're confident at Night & Day Blinds that Direct Connect

“I have been using Direct Connect from
the first day it was available. Before we were faxing orders,
which take a lot more time and can be incorrect or incomplete.
Ex: ordering a roller shades that exceeds the maximum width
or height of the material. With Direct Connect the order
is always correct, because it will not take the item which
may be out of spec, saving you time. Another important aspect
of DC over faxed orders is less paperwork to keep track of.
You don't have to write up the order, then wait for the fax
back. When you place your order you get an instant email
with the confirmation, which you can review right away. If
you have to refer back to any orders already placed, they
are all under manage orders. I would not even think about
going back to faxing orders again. ”

“I have used Direct Connect since its
inception. I love the fact that by using Direct Connect I
make far fewer errors since it tells me if I have gone outside
of the specifications. I can enter orders at my convenience
at any hour of the day. It is great that I can access information
anywhere I have a computer connection. If I have questions
about anything from Hunter Douglas when I am at home, I can
access the site and find the answer. I use the Price Comparisons
to help me give my client a quick idea of differences in
prices between products. It minimizes the time it takes for
me to do comparisons. If I know what product and the approximate
window size, I can print out a price comparison of a few
products to take with me cutting the time it takes to bid
the job on site. The Fabricator Order Status is awesome since
I can see at a glance what items have shipped and when. My
other favorite feature is the product component schematics.

Douglas' Direct Connect is an easy-to-use, 24/7 "partner". Because
our business is "mobile" and we are therefore not
in the office much during the business day, it is often difficult
to place orders while the "live" operators are
functioning. With Direct Connect, we can go online at any
hour of the day or night, check a color or spec that we might
have forgotten to write down, prepare a quote for a customer,
or order a product. Entering a quote and storing it
until the customer can approve the job allows us to enter
the information only once, saving valuable time to go sell
another customer. Direct Connects detailed prompts also often
remind us of an option or selection that we might otherwise

ordering system has been very valuable to our business since
its inception. The ability to submit orders for fabrication
directly has substantially improved the time in which orders
are processed and delivered. I find the order screen process
to be extremely helpful in preventing most order errors,
with product options, certain specifications and dimension
limitations carefully built into the program. The Fabricator
Order Status screen with the ability to track shipping of
certain deliveries is extremely helpful in scheduling installations.
The Price Comparison feature is very useful in assisting
customers to make choices. The ability to establish Retail
prices for each and every Hunter Douglas product has been
invaluable in providing staff with easy reference for the
